What's New & Different for 2012

Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Awards

• To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Stevie Awards movement, we introduce Silver and Bronze Stevie Awards in 2012. This means that all honorees in the IBAs will now be Stevie Award winners - no more Distinguished Honoree (honorable mention) medals . Read more about this here.

Online Submission Only

• Entries may no longer be submitted offline. All entries must be submitted online, even if you enter a category for which you'll provide materials for judging offline (e.g. Best Annual Report).

Eligibility Timeframe:

• Eligibility for the 2012 IBAs extends from 1 January 2011 through 27 June 2012, the last day that late entries will be accepted.  Nominations should cite achievements during this eligibility window.  Apps, videos, literature, live events, and other media premiered since that date are eligible to be entered.  There is no eligibility timeframe for web site entries - it doesn't matter when web sites were first published.

Entry Fees:

• For the first time in three years the entry fees have been raised a bit.

Entry Deadlines

• There are three entry deadlines, including an early-bird deadline by which the entry fees are discounted:
  • 11 April 2012: entry fees are discounted by as much as 25%
  • 16 May 2012
  • 27 June 2012: late entry deadline (late fees charged in addition to any entry fees)

New Categories:

• There are so many new categories for 2012 - too many to list here. We recommend that you take a few minutes to explore all of the category pages on this web site to get a sense of the categories that are open to you.

Best of the IBA Awards

• A new addition to the IBAs' repertory of awards in 2012 are five best-of-competition prizes that will be awarded to the organizations that submit the best body of work to the competition, in their own name or in the names of one or more clients. Learn more here.

Eliminated Categories:

• Advertising categories.  Advertising campaigns now may be entered in any of the many new marketing campaign categories
• Best Web Animation
• Turnaround Executive of the Year
• Finance Executive of the Year
• Environmental Responsibility Program of the Year. These are now incorporated in the CSR Program of the Year categories
• Interactive Multimedia categories.  These are now incorporated in the App categories

Link/File Uploader

• We've added a Link/File Uploader to the online entry form. Click the link that says "Add Attachments, Videos or Links to This Entry" to add or upload any number of URLs or offline supporting attachments to an entry. Your attachments and links will then be presented to the judges.
