  2. Briefly describe this nominated IR program's communications objectives and how it met those objectives (up to 100 words):

Based in Rockville, MD, BioReliance Corp. provides testing and development and manufacturing services for the production of biologics and other biomedical products. The U.S. Government contracted BioReliance to manufacture quantities of small pox vaccine for an anti-terror program. Instead of taking advantage of this small pox news (and putting the U.S. and its clients at risk), BioReliance chose to maintain a minimum disclosure policy. In a time of increased investor scrutiny and volatility, FRB|Weber Shandwick helped the Company navigate guidance issues, build credibility and achieve program and reputation enhancement goals that would outlast the "small pox" buzz.
